Alive Indeed / How we build

How we build.

The programs are built with AI. Here is the method, and how we make sure that what goes out actually works.

From wish to new feature

This is how a new feature reaches you. All six steps apply to every single change.

  1. Wish

The wish comes from a user, from a message or from us.

  2. Description

A short text about what the feature should do and how it will be tested.

  3. AI builds

Claude Code writes the code and the tests next to the version that is running.

  4. Test

Automated tests run in a real browser and check everything, not just the new part.

  5. Approval

A person tries the change on a test address and approves it.

  6. Released

The feature goes live and is added to the news page.

Who does what

AI does

  • Writes the code and the tests
  • Suggests solutions and finds bugs
  • Writes drafts of the books

A person does

  • Decides what to build
  • Tries every change before it goes live
  • Edits and approves every book

01

Continuous improvement

The programs keep getting better, not just in one big update a year.

02

Your files are yours

Shapewit View opens files on your own computer. They are not sent to us.

03

Open about AI

We say clearly when something is made with AI, in the books too.

The tools

The code is written with Claude Code from Anthropic. Tests run in Chromium with Playwright. The website is built with Astro, and the viewer uses three.js and OpenCascade, which are open source.
